Why is Al Stewart a relative unknown in his own country ?.Orange is a wonderful early example of an amazingly talented singer/songwriter. It is possibly more folk rooted than his later albums with some wonderful acoustic guitar playing..buy this then buy the rest!

If you're considering buying this album it's proabably because you've lost the vinyl copy you bought 30 years ago. The fact that this wonderful album is still in production says it all. Vintage Al Stewart is uncannily like a lot of the stuff that's coming out today. Avril Lavign and Al Stewart could easily work together. If this artist's work is new to you then you really ought to have a listen and decide for yourself. It's punchy, folk/rock feel, superb guitar, and moving lyrics are brought together in eight tracks that are a relevent today as they were then. The only reason I don't give this five stars is that "Zero She Flies" is better.
