This compilation is OK. If you're not a big Eurovision fan and you just want a collection of Eurovision tracks, there are better compilations out there, such as "The Story of Eurovision".

However, if you are a big Eurovision fan and want to collect as many ESC tracks as possible, this is a good buy. There are tracks on it which I haven't found elsewhere on CD: Germany and Switzerland 1977, Italy 1970 and Italy 1965. Also, the version of "I Treni De Tozeur" (Italy 1984) on this CD is not the original Eurovision version. It's Alice on her own singing a Kate Bush/Sarah Brightman style version, which is probably rare and worth having.

Another bonus is that a lot of the tracks sound digitally remastered, which was most noticable on "Hallelujah" (Israel 1979).

One minor quibble with it is that the UK entries are referred to as "England" on the packaging. Only minor but alienates a fair part of the UK.

Overall, I would only really buy this if you're a die-hard Eurovision fan!

This is a not bad compilation cd, but a lot of the entries are sung in English, rather than their original native language. A lot of the cd is also concentrated on particular years. The first 4 tracks, for instance come from 1998. If i were you, i would buy a different Eurovision CD.

A useful compilation cd for hardcore Eurovision fans.
Apart from the usual tracks nearly always found on other cd's it contains the german version of 'Apres Toi' and also the previously unreleased 'little Child'
Definitely one to add to any fans collection.
