I remember the main Star Wars track from back in my school days and wishing I had a copy. And now I do. This is pure reminiscence stuff. Very late 70s early 80s feel to the tracks but I love the jawa and R2-D2 sound bites within the tracks. Well worth a listen.

I had the Star Wars single on vinyl from 1978, until a recent disaster whereby I found it leaning against a hot pipe in my flat, bent and deformed by the heat. Oh how I cried...

Then I realised it is still available. While having it on CD doesn't compare to having the original print on vinyl, it did make me feel a little better.

The highlight here is not the SW theme (though it is pretty dope), but the original b side, Other Galactic Funk (which was just called "Funk" on the single I had).

If you're a funk fan or a Star Wars fan, you'd be a wookie to miss this.

...none of those in the title has as much 'cheese-iness' as this disk. I had this in the late 70's and by good fortune, someone nicked it! (I guess he's doing time in Rampton now, the poor mad fool). I dance in the style of 'disco No-dad!' but i can't imagine any groovy-mobile-disco-dude spinning this disk, other than hanging it up at his allotment to scare away the birds from his seedlings!... Now, thats my official review... this is the underground version... find a darkened room away from anyone and anywhere and pretend that you are watching illicit porn when you switch this disk on. It will be much easier to admit to watching porn than listening to this disk if you are caught! The 'Star Wars' bit is surprisingly good, and takes you back to the 'cafe scene' in the original film, except you will feel like one of the cafe cast... but not luke or Han... more like one of the soppy fluffy ones. The 'Other galactic Funk' had me bewildered even in the 70's. If you like this then you must really be 'hard-core' (Disco, not porn!) If you listen to this with your kids, you will lose all respect & they will shout NO DAD!!! For god's sake, don't dance to it! LOL
