5.0 out of 5 stars A lush, multilayered, classic Sylvian track., 17 Oct 2001
By A Customer
The track starts in a laid-back jazzy mood, then Sylvian's smooth vocals begin. Old cohort Ryuichi Sakamoto adds a lush string arrangement & Kenny Wheeler's haunting flugelhorn gives the track its classic Sylvian sound. Steve Jansen, Sylvian's brother & fellow ex member of Japan, provides the steady but unobtrusive percussion, whilst Lawrence Feldman's flute adds a light & airy texture to the mix. The track can also be found on Sylvian's fine (if oddly titled) 'Dead Bees on a Cake' album.
