Another Masterpiece by Whitney, 23 Jan 2004
This album entered the US charts at number 14, doesn't sound so impressive but after just four weeks it had already sold 4 million copies in America alone. Theres a reason for the albums success, its stunning! It starts off with "It's Not Right But It's Ok", a brilliant anthem for all women who've been cheated, her voice is powerful and has real attitude. The song reached number 3 in the UK. Then we have chill out "Heartbreak Hotel" with Whitney sounding cool and edgy along with some impressive vocals by Faith Evans and Kelly Price. The song got to number 25 in the UK, not so great but this is a song which helped greatly to make a very successful album. Next up is the highest charting song in the UK from the album, "My Love Is Your Love". The songs a well known one among Whitney fans, symbolising Whitney's love for her husband. She sounds great and its an album highlight. "My Love Is Your Love" reached number two in the UK. "When You Believe" is a 1999 academy award winner from the Prince Of Egypt movie, its a duet with Mariah Carey. The two greatest voices of all time on this great ballad. They give all there vocal power to create a wonderful record. Mariah's my favourite singer EVER but i love Whitney and to heat them do a song is magic, It reached number 4 in the UK. Whitney gets more attitude and funked up for "If I Told You That", a credit to Whitney. "In My Buissiness" is great, it features rapper Missy Elliot and together the two do what we'd expect and get down to buissiness, cool! "I Learned From The Best" is where Whitney displays more big vocals and crams in the edginess. The song was written by Diane Warren who is a personal favourite song writer of mine. The song proves to be great and with Whitney's beautiful lungs behind it we have something GOOD! It reached number 19 in the UK. "Oh Yes" delivers with more edge and cool and concise vocals displayed. The song wasn't a single but it had the potential to be a big hit. A lot of effort went into this album. "Get It Back" is great, i love this one as it stands out easily and gives the fans and even haters something they'll love to listen to. Whitney certainly found her groove with this album! "I Bow Out" is more of the lovable stuff from Whitney. Throughout this album you just know why shes been so successful and even somebody who loathes Whitney would have to admit that songs like this are a part of music history. "You'll Never Stand Alone" was Whitneys favourite song from the album although it was never a single. it's a ballad which is sung with emotion, something Whitney knows will make a big difference to a record. This is the BEST song off the album and could have topped the charts any day. The wonders keep coming and this remarkable album finishess with "I Was Made To Love Him", fantastic!!! I adore it, you need to put this one on as it is so amazing. With songs like this Whitney Houston is the greatest pop-soul singer in musical history, possessing a five octive vocal range this woman is incredibly talented and this album is a wonder of such an amazing career. Enjoy!!!!!
