First of all, the A-side on this single is one of my favourite 'Garbage' tracks. But on top of that, the B-sides are two of the best every recorded.

Of course, the only problem that anyone might have with 'Deadwood' is the introduction; Shirley Manson whispering a rhythmic poem that you just can't quite make out. And later in the track, she also sings and whispers a second and third vocal line underneath the main melody. So in order to save you from straining your ears as you play the track over and over again, here are the full lyrics for the B-side, including the 'whispered' lines.

Symptomatic of what we've become

Moving on however, the second B-side 'Afterglow' is beautifully minimalist, and very similar to `Sleep' in its structure and its empty, heartaching despair. So if you're already a 'Garbage' fan, then why haven't you bought this single yet? And if you're not a 'Garbage' fan, then buy this single and become one!
