1.0 out of 5 stars Bloody awful!, 8 Jan 2007

Apart from Marcia Griffith's version of Don't Let Me Down, this is a dire record full of
lacklustre versions by mainly second rate performers, Even the well known singers put
in half-arsed performances.

4.0 out of 5 stars Proof you can't ruin a great song!, 4 Feb 2008

There's some interesting ones on here, the favourite on my first listen being the version of Hey Jude. Not only does it bring together my love of The Beatles with my recent discovery of reggae, but, wait for it, it's an instrumental done with a Hammond organ, another of my favs!! No, really!

Oh, and for those who put their CDs into iTunes, I trawled the web to find the dates of the tracks just so you wouldn't have to as iTunes retrieves the date of the compilation ;-)

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic - The Beatles like you've never heard them before!, 18 Mar 2001
By A Customer
I was absolutely amazed after listening to the album. The first track, Ob-la-di Ob-la-da, is clearly the pick of the bunch. It beautifully combines the fun and charisma of The Beatles with the free-loving, funky beats and vocals of the rastamen. Mindless minutes of joy were also spent listening to the version of A Hard Days Night - an absolute classic in my opinion. The other tracks don't quite live up to these two but are still well worth listening to. I only which Amazon had A Reggae Tribute to The Beatles (Vol. 2) in stock. No album do I desire more. If it's half as good as Vol. 1 it's going to be supreme. In a nutshell - buy it now, it's great!
