The pleasant suprise is that the first cd of classic Yes is performed brilliantly, with clearer recording than studio originals.
The completely unexpected suprise is the second cd of new studio tracks.They are as good as if not better than any of the older stuff. MIND DRIVE is a YES epic, starting with lilting spanishy guitar, it mutates into a brooding Holzt like juggernaut. It moves through light and shade, grabbing you by the emotional curlies. The 'light' is provided by lyrically and melodically uplifting tune that Anderson does so well.
FOOTPRINTS has a southern 'Bible Belt' feel that features Howe with a swing/bluegrass flavour.
I am running out of space here, so I will just say the rest of the CD is of the same high standard.
Brilliant Stuff!

Most comments tell you that these 2 records aren't worth their money because half of it is filled with old songs. But consider that these old songs are now in a new digital jacket and you have a couple of songs you couldn't find on a live record.But the second half is Yes like they should be. A musical evolution into the ninetees. Listen to Mind drive and feel the shivers on your spine, or every other of the 5 songs. Brilliant in their complexity, typical the music you may expect from Yes. Shame that they didn't continue this style on their next album; Open your Eyes.

THIS is Yes as we want it!!! »Keys To Ascension 2« continues what the first volume started.

From the very first tunes, you get blown away by the magic live performance of »I've Seen All Good People«, and from there on, it's a phenomenal journey into brilliantly performed live experiences of the absolutely greatest Yes songs. Breathtaking!

CD 2 contains new studio tracks which are all very, very good compositions. »Mind Drive« is the best Yes song since »Talk«, and »Bring Me To The Power« is really amazing as well.

This is just Yes as we know it - and Yes as we WANT it! I lack words...
