Decent mid '90's Dead Or Alive studio effort which Cleopatra had apparently reissued a few years following it's original pressing. Always sort of liked this flashy British dance pop ensemble. Total of fifteen tracks - new (at the time) material with a few remixes included, like two each of "Sex Drive" and their catchy Mtv hit "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)", a cover of David Bowie's "Rebel Rebel", "Gone Too Long" and the instrumental "Getting It On". Might possibly do good for fans of Duran Duran, New Order and possibly Gary Numan or even Inxs.

Five years on from their last material, Dead or Alive stormed back having realised what they did best - making trashy, high energy pop.

When this album is good it's excellent - 'Nukelopatra', 'International thing' and 'I'm a star' are among DOA's best tracks ever. I remember seeing Pete sing 'Nuklepatra' at Gay Pride in 1994 and I practically wet myself with excitement!

Regrettably though, a lacklustre new mix of 'You spin me round' and a pedestrian cover of Bowie's 'Rebel rebel' force me to downgrade this album to 4 stars. However, this is still a great album, better than most of today's faceless dance puppets.

Since leaving the house of Stock Aitken and Waterman, Dead or Alive have struggled finding their way onto the dancefloor again. The fairly average Nude album was sub S.A.W and hardly filled the dancefloor - a real disappointment.... but then after a few stints in Japan and a re-think, they came back storming with this album.O.K some tracks hark back to some flavourless Nude tunes but it must be said that this is Dead or Alive back on top form and doing what they do best.Pete Burns' vocals are casually sensual and the driving dance grooves are pretty damn good even for the most hardened disco bunnies out there. Catch the various remixes on the U.S import version, breathing new life into their most famous of all dance anthems You Spin Me Round... Hurry up Dead or Alive and give us more........
