Baremboim's performance of the piano concertos with Barbirolli is among the most inspired ever committed to disc, and show the performer at his finest; while the Tragic Ouverture and Haydn Variation show the conductor at his finest.
It is a performance to love in his spontaneity, which still remain the best.

Highly reccommended
