5.0 out of 5 stars simpler times, 17 Jan 2010
By Jonny Cruiser (London United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Well, I've already reviewed this once but the review has been wiped. So here I go again. Annette was this 13 year old boy's dream when she was 13 as well. Beautiful! She couldn't act or sing as I now realise but this gorgeous collection is just wonderful, if taken in small doses, and only if you were there at the time. There are two fab hits - Tall Paul and First Name Initial that stand the test of time, the rest, to be frank, is pretty dire. Routine tunes to accommodate her limited range, dreadful and hopelessly inadequate vocal and orchestral arrangements - the Disney studios going through the motions. Lovely packaging, a lovely reminder of a carefree era long gone.
