Cliff started out as a rock `n roll singer. It might not seem so considering his later middle of the road releases, but he was very good at it. If you can imaging Cliff in Elvis Presley mode then that gets close. Of course the backing is by the early shads called the drifters and they have a couple of terrific rockers including Jet Black.A Cd to get your feet tapping and a bit of Uk pop history as well.

I love this album, it's everything that Cliff Richard isnt now, and a great monument to pre-Beatles british rock n roll, every dog has his day, this was Cliffs. screaming gets a bit annoying, but you have to use your imagination as to what is happening on stage. although the album is mainly american covers, just listen to how well "Move It" fits in, a truly fantastic album, by a truly fantastic but somewhat underated british rock n roll band. i only wish i could have seen them in they're prime.
