This album is perfect!

The fact that this is album is relativly unheard of, is criminal. Every tune is simply amazing.

B.B.E are brilliant, and you should get a copy of this if you have a pulse, and want to hear some scintillating French house at it's very very best.

Turn the lights down and the volume up, and feel your spine tingle every time.

I cannot reccommend this enough.

this debut album from french producers b.b.e is one of the best dance albums of the late 90's. the single's are the best tracks on the album but there are a few other tracks that would of made great singles(tales of history & universal flash) if you like mostly instrumental trance then you will like this wicked album!!

Following in the footsteps of Abba before them, Italian Trance trio Bruno.Bruno.Emmanuel named their band after the forenames of the group's member's-but somehow, l don't think Abba would've been as successful in producing uplifting, atmospheric trance as B.B.E.
What makes this album a cut above your average trance fare is the short, snappy nature of most tracks where the melody is explored without over-elaborating on it. The stand out tracks are the 4 singles-including Flash, Desire & Symphonic Paradise (which had vocals added to it -and released as Deeper Love). Ok, l've missed one out because it deserves special mention-almost inevitably that is 7 Days And One Week.
Apart from the pulsating beat, the hypnotic rhythm-where the piano riff glides effortlessy in and out of the groove-is complimented expertly by the tracks dark (yet inspiring) nature which builds to a crescendo of sound that has to be heard to be believed. In short, probably the best trance song ever.
In addition to the singles, the quality of the album is maintained through some master melody making on songs such as Tales Of History and Cosmos.
The dramatic tension implicit in numerous other tracks would make them idea film scores. For instance, Troy would've benefited from including the classically tinged Second Level La Confirmation in one of it's epic battle scenes (the fat lady doesn't half give it some oomph in her operatic solo). As for the Eastern feel of Le Nouveau Monde, this wouldn't have been out of place in any Bollywood picture. This contrast in styles, particularly evident from Aquatic Nebular onwards, provides the perfect progression from the earlier pounding songs.

Such a development into more eclectic range within such a big song listing (done with assurance by Outkast, and Moby more recently in other genres) gives the album depth that Speakerboxx/Love Below, and Play, have in order to make them such triumphs. They also share the timeless qualities that games exudes-after all, what other trance album from around seven years ago could sound as fresh today as when it was released. Worse things could happen than a B.B.E renaissance!
