one of the best feelgood albums out on the market, melodies that dig into you and are absolutely stuck after the first listening. Cover versions do not get better than this, especially the version of Oasis "Wonderwall" in the loungiest version you'll ever hear..

The title may suggest a loser who covers song to muck them up but how wrong can one be? One word describes Mike Flowers-inspired. He has turned three chord dreary Oasis songs into bright, summery pop tunes (Wonderwall) and done justice to the Velvet Underground, adding to their great reputation! Although the quality of the album is inconsistent throughout, it is always happy and bright and will cheer the most miserable of people up. Mike Flower's knows a thing or two about pop-buy the album and let him prove it!

What surprises about this album is not that the covers are amusing (Prince's 1999 is particularly good), but that the arrangements are so well written and performed by himself and the backing singers. Mr Flowers is clearly an accomplished musicican and this really shows on his excellent original material on this album. The song about his romance with a crusty girl is simultaneously silly and very touching.
