WHEN RELEASED IN AMERICA, THE SOUNDTRACK THEY HEARD WAS BY THE AMBIENT TANGERINE DREAM, BUT NICE AS IT WAS, WE HERE IN EUROPE WERE BLESSED WITH JERRY GOLDSMITHS FINEST SOUNDTRACK TO DATE. WE START OFF WITH A MELLOW BALANCE OF WOODWIND, STRING AND SYNTHESIZER AND OVER THE NEXT 70MINS GET A COMBINATION OF CHORAL SINGING AT ITS MOST BEAUTIFUL, BRASS AT ITS MOST DRAMATIC AND A HIGHLY INTELLIGENT AND UNIQUE USE OF SYNTH. CLOSE YOUR EYES, AND YOU COULD ALMOST BE DEEP IN THE FOREST THAT THE FILM IS BASED IN. NO LIE, THIS IS GOOD!
