Good Stuff from a Great Singer, 20 Oct 2007
I must admit the combination of Phil B and Phil C seems an unlikely one, but it works. You rather think from the sound that this has at least an influence on Collins's next album 'No Jacket Required'. The real treat though is Phillip Bailey's vocals. A master of the falsetto, it soars on 'I go crazy', gentle and mellow on ballads like 'I'll show you the way to love' and then drops an octave on 'Woman' to equal effect.
As an EWF fan I have a deep appreciation of Phil B's voice but here he is allowed even more free rein and makes the most of it. Recommended.

the voice, 28 Nov 2007
Philip bailey has a voice that is astonishing as witnessed by his epic contribution to Earth, wind and fire.
This is the brilliant solo album that he issued and set the Mark for others in this genre to beat, atmospheric, emotional, genuine and powerful this is the album everybody should own and treasure, despite the fact Phil Collins is on it!!
For pure beauty just listen to the title track, and the world doesn't seem such a bad place after all.
