3.0 out of 5 stars Good fun, but could be better, 26 Sep 2001
On the whole, One for the Money is a very likeable album. Sheep on Drugs haven't really changed much since 1993's Greatest Hits, though they did move from industrial techno to faster, more modern beats. The sleazy, dark sound that has become their trademark is still here, as are the notoriously wicked lyrics.
Unfortunately, this album is of variable quality, with some great songs (including a very amusing cover of The Velvet Underground's 'Waiting for the Man') and some less than remarkable ones.
Fans may also discover that many Sheep on Drugs albums feature the same songs: almost every track on One for the Money is remixed on Nevermind the Methadone, while some of the best songs can also be found, in different versions, on Double Trouble and Two for the Show.
So, before you buy One for the Money, make sure you don't already have most of it in your music collection... if you don't, it's a good album to have - it's danceable, naughty and good fun.
