A beautiful record that I've owned for years and yet always seems fresh. Recalls 'The Texas Campfire Tapes' in terms of raw production values but this only serves to capture the honesty of the music all the more effectively. Great lyrics and haunting delivery make this a gorgeous record. One to treasure.

Since there were no reviews posted for this, I felt I had to write something. Musically this is very innovative...a blend of chamber-pop and alt. country. The singer's voice is strained at times, which may put some people off. Get past that and you will be left with an album with moments of pure beauty and originality, with thoughtful, peotic lyricals to go. Not everyone's cup of tea. Not a record for shallow people. I've owned this for 5 years and it's still very much a favourite.

Lullaby for the Working Class were a rare truly original band, front-man Ted Stevens now in another band which hasn't quite captured what Lullaby had. Shame.
