The Dismemberment Plan is my favorite band. This is their second album and it surpasses "!" (their fist effort) in every way. While this may not be their best album to date (their last two are even better, as will be all their forthcoming records), it's still one of my favorite albums ever. I guess you could say that they play pop music, but they play it in such a weird and unique way unlike any other band you've heard before. They throw in all sorts of styles like funk, jazzy stuff, rock, hardcore and all sorts of weird rhythm shifts along with some of the most amazing lyrics ever. These guys sure know to play their instruments and the singer sure knows how to sing a tune. The amazing thing with these guys is that no matter how weird it gets, they always maintain that irresistible catchy pop vibe that makes them so damn special in the first place. Buy this album and cherish the fact that you will be become one of not too many people who gets to know such a special group of musicians.
