5.0 out of 5 stars This has to be one Maynards best bands yet!!, 26 Sep 2001
By A Customer
From the electrifying intro to a Night In Tunisia to the awesome Baritone sax of Glenn's Den this has to be one of Maynards best recent albums yet.The trumpet section also has to be one of Maynards best sections ever thanks to the expertise of Roger Ingram and Scott Engelbright both of whom have that real lead trumpet sizzle. The real treat on this album is the resurrection of another Maynard classic "Fox Hunt"in which one of his young up and coming stars Walter White takes a fabulous chorus actually putting even Maynard to shame.Another strong chart on this album is Andy Weiner's arrangement of the Duke Ellington classic "In A Mellow Tone".All I can say about this one is check out the shake after Maynard's solo!!Another great feature on this album is the trombone playing of Keith Oshiro on the Sonny Rollins classic "St. Thomas"."Maynard Ferguson: Live In London" is a must for not just any Maynard fan but for anybody who really likes music.
