I bought this cd because it boasts some of my favourite settings of the canticles - by Walmisley, Blair and Wood - and because they are sung by the world class cathedral choir of St. Paul's, London. I haven't been disappointed. Each recording does perfect justice to the canticle in question: the sound is unfailingly ethereal and the soloists and organist are immaculate.

I highly recommend this collection. Perhaps the only drawback is that you get the rather less than spectacular services of Stanford, Wesley and Brewer on the CD; but then that's a question of personal taste.
