If you like GD and some of the artists featured onthis cd you will love this! Hardly any 'note for note covers (pretty useless anyway) but niocely (sometimes drastically rearranged) versions of some familiar and not do familiar GD tunes.

To me Wharf rat by Midnight oil is the only failure (they admit as much themselves in the liner notes) but these are great: Ship of fools, China doll/ Cassidy, Friend of the devil, Deal and (especially) Ripple.

Good enough listening, but not on the whole a remarkable CD. A question of personal taste perhaps.

I do find two of the tracks worth mentioning. An outstanding version of 'China Doll' by Suzanne Vega and a great rendition of 'To Lay Me Down' from the Cowboy Junkies. Worth picking up for just these two tracks.
