4.0 out of 5 stars wrong review!, 11 Mar 2008

(REAL NAME)
The review for this disc is to be found under a later entry in this section, the Tsunami disc with the cover showing Moses holding the tablets. That one is made up of selections from the original mono soundtrack. When I say selections, I have to add that these sound like various alternative takes edited together in a pretty random fashion. The disc is probably most interesting to a student of film music, although this is the only way to aquire any of the O.S.T. The sound is quite decent mono. The review for the above disc covers most points. It was originally issued on the Dot label. Which is the best version of the music? There isn't a great deal in it, but I think the O.S.T has a bit more of the grandeur, the one above has swifter speeds, in places. The sound is also a bit brighter, and in stereo. It's swings and roundabouts, really! You pays your money... Hope this has been of some help, anyway. David Vickers.
