I bought this soundtrack on tape around the time the film was released on video, when living abroad. I had just watched the film a week before going, vaguely liked the music but it seemed a must that I should buy it when a week later I fell in love for the first time. It was a soundtrack that complemented blue skies, candlelit dinners, and ultimately returning home and leaving my first love. It is such a bittersweet combination with the Pretenders 'I'm not in Love'(refreshingly more modern than the original)reflecting moods of love denial, to the Lisa Stansfields' track'In All The Right Places'unfairly ignored by radio stations. The magic of the soundtrack goes to the instrumentals, which I played it in the car, looking at the mountains and sea. But I have no doubt that where ever you are, if you are in love or have lost your love, you will fall in love with this CD and it will provide a backdrop to your highs and lows for years to come.

Right, so I watched the movie and thought to myself I have to find me that soundtrack, the instrumental parts are absolutely fabulous and "The Nearness of You" by Sheena Easton is one of the greatest tracks on the CD. If you want some good music and you liked the film, go get it!

I was amazed to read Zanna 13's review, my partner of 10 years bought the CD two weeks before we met. Lisa Stansfield's Song and the instrumental track have remained "our song" all this time. I am not the soppy type, but this album is inspirational.

I recommend everyone to buy it,

I had this album on tape years ago and didn't realise it was available on Amazon ,. The tracks sound just as good now as they did then and the service I recieved was excellent.
