From the opening of 'Pee-Wee's Big Adventure' it becomes very apparent that Danny Elfman is the MOST talented film and television music composer of the last two decades, if not ever. Elfman uses this album to present the music that he had composed from the mid-80's to 1990. The music is incredible. My personal favourite tracks are 'Pee-Wee's Big Adventure', 'Batman' and 'Beetlejuice'. These pieces of music are typical Elfman - percussion, bass, strings presented in an unforgettable, atmospheric and generally tense way. I bought this album simply for the 'Beetlejuice' Main Titles, but I now think that this album is one of the greatest I have ever bought, and it is now treasured in my collection.

All through his lengthy term with (The Mystic Knights of the) Oingo Boingo, Danny Elfman consistently produced some excellent scores, notably the film themes for Darkman, Pee-Wee, and of course Batman. This CD not only covers these nicely, but also includes some of his more quirky pieces including the Simpsons theme, Back to School, and Tales from the Crypt.

It's cool!

This album is, by far, the greatest album i have ever heard. from the first moment i heard his work (in the Betelguise movie)i was instantly captivated.the way his overture instantly creates the air and humidity of a scene is genius if you are a fan of classical music then you will love this,he is truly gifted and shall live on forever in his music alongside the greats like BACH and MOTSART a truly,truly masterfull experiance.
