I'm a big fan of the film particularly because of the terrific music, so imagine my joy when after years of searching I finally found it here, I could finally get my hands on the soundtrack.

Now the soundtrack is not bad in fact there are some real corkers on here "Ready To Go Steady" and "I'm Leaving It All Up To You" to name a few but someone should take the person who compiled this to task! They missed off "What Kind Of Fool" and "Monkey Time" not to mention the excellent versions of "Stay" and "Sixty Minute Man". This was upsetting enough but to add insult to injury they left off "Stagger Lee", the song from the final dance scene!! I'm sorry but what would the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack have been without "(I've Had) The Time Of My Life"? What were they thinking? The list of tracks you'd expect to find here that aren't could go on but I'd run out of room.

That's not to say the CD is a complete disappointment, it's not "I'm In Love Again" along with a few other tracks does mean it's not a total disaster but I have to be honest and state that a marvellous opportunity has been pitifully squandered.
