the fourth dead or alive album and the best yet!!! yes it flopped..due to lack of promotion..the cover(it was the 80s)...definately not for quality!!!

the album has 9 songs and everyone is a masterpeice..production..lyrics...delivery!

"turn around and count to ten" got to no.70 in the charts! why! because pete wouldnt sell out and do goody goody interviews..he was the evil twin of boy george! he wouldnt sell out to please the press or videomakers! its a classic song!

every song on this album is brilliant..i cant say there is a standout..cause they are all brilliant!

my personal favourite is "come home with me baby" with its dirty erotic desperate sound..and sexual innuendos! it was the second single and hit the dizzy heights of no.62!

around the world the album was a huge flop..bar japan..where it was one of the biggest albums of all time..and rightly so!

i like to think of this of the frantic, hard, dancey, disco version of barbra streisands "love songs"..but then i may be weird!!!

buy this album...i promise you wont be disappointed!!!

dead or alive's 1989 installment 'nude' flopped nearly everywhere it was released and why.....i don't know because it should have been MASSIVE. 'turn around and count 2 ten' was a mega mega hit in japan, DOA's stronghold, as it spent 17 weeks at number 1. 'give it back that love is mine' is good too, as is 'baby don't say goodbye', 'come home with me baby' and 'i don't wanna be your boyfirend'. the last two tracks standout the most however. ' i cannot carry on' could be the closest we see to pete burns doing a power ballad. closer my forbidden lover' is great.....from the opening with its strong beats to the close is pure pleasure. if you're a fan of late eighties dance music....this has got to be the album you should get!

Now for someone who was only born in 1987 (speaking about myself here).
You would think this would be very much out of my era but this is the music I just love and Dead or Alive do it with perfection.

As with the other reviews here I agree 100% with DOA being such an underrated band and it's a shame that more people will have never even heard of this album and will only know "You Spin Me Round" (however a pop classic in it's own right) but they are missing out on so many other great songs!

When I 1st heard this album, "Come Home (With Me Baby)" stuck in my mind, an amazing dance / pop song with catchy lyrics & as per usual stunning & unique vocals from Pete Burns, no wonder it went to #1 in Japan and #1 in the US Dance Charts, however fell on deaf ears here in the UK!

If you want to own possibly one of the best 80's era dance / pop albums then "Nude" is something for you to try, if you have heard / own "Youthquake" and have yet to get this album then don't wait it's a must because you are missing out on some of the best Dead or Alive music there is.
