5.0 out of 5 stars Music to relax to, 12 April 2003
I first came across this album in cassette tape form the early 1980s from a friend. I have since purchased the CD and several others from the same author. Andreas Vollenweider is a Dutch harp player, although if you like harp music, you'll be pushed to hear the harp playing and perhaps will be disappointed. Andreas plays his harp in amongst 20 other 'pop' instruments to produce melody and a good fast, happy beat.

I have used this music with around 30 people as the centre point of deep relaxation. Everyone commented on the "wonderfully relaxing" music and the local music shop had to order at least a dozen copies

The entire CD follows a musical journey and flows from one track to the next in the same sort of way as Tubular bells or The Moody Blues music did. Oh and it's better than tubular bells.

I am now over 40 and enjoy many different styles of music, I easily rate this album as one of my top ten albums of all time.

If you like Andreas Vollenweider's style, this is the first album you should buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Ambient Ecstasy, 30 Mar 2008
By Derrick Page "Dr.Delboy" (Uckfield. Sussex UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This enhanced Cd first recorded in 1981 contains nine tracks running into each other lasting only 30 minutes and 36 seconds which is a shame because you want more of this beatuiful Ambient instrumentalism. It is a great album to drift away with everyday sounds, noises and atmospheres, the music of the Electric Harp and various other instruments with voices and sound effects that comes together as an ambient ecstasy.
The lastest version is now longer with added new live tracks.
Dr. Delboy prefers studio tracks not live ones.
You will enjoy this relaxing Cd at any time of t
