Tipsy (along with Radio 3's 'Mixing it") set me on that wonderful road to something new in music/sound/noise - or whatever you care to call it.
Picture the scene, I'm in my fave record store, my mind drifts.. "what's this I hear? then, wham!! a chance remark to the wiley old shop owner of 'what's this you're playing' and there I was scanning the cover to Tipsy's first LP "Trip Tease". It's mock Japanese import cover made me smile, its titles made me snigger, the sound, well ...... then, before you know it those immortal words just slip from your lips.. 'I'll take it"
It's all there, scratchy samples of what sound like Disney classics meets Willy Wonka, Hawaiian guitar, Dwaine Eddy twang and cheesy organ. Stir it up into a heady mix of lounge and there you have it.
Of course, it's now even easier to purchase. Just one click to the shopping basket and before you know it Mr Posty will be tap, tap, tapping on your door.

A fine contemporary masterpeice of Atomic Age Lounge. The aural equivalent of a world tour of music whilst drunk and cocooned in the red velvet warmth of a high kitch lounge. One of my favourite CDs of all time and perfect accompaniament for Martini swilling and elegant Lounge life. Nice cover too.
