I was in love with Hayley Mills when I was 13 and this is one of the first LPs I ever bought [or my parents bought for me]. The Parent Trap came out in 1961, featuring Let's Get Together, which was a Top 10 US hit. Like many young TV and movie stars, Hayley was forced into the studio to record, and this is the result. Hayley looked gorgeous to a teenage boy's eyes but couldn't sing [I think I vaguely realised this at the time], and couldn't act either [though that's another story]. In short, this record is absolutely dire. Poor Hayley couldn't hold a tune, took a breath after every syllable and had no vocal personality whatsoever. So 5 stars for bringing back the personal memories if you were there - everyone else, stay clear!
