There's always a problem with tribute albums where people cover their absolute biggest heroes. This album has a serious reverence problem.

Anyone hoping to find a skiffle version of Passion Of Lovers or a St Vitus Dance in rap form is going to be disappointed. On the whole these are close copies of the original songs, or as close as they could get, given the level of singing talent available to most of these bands.

Occasionally we're treated to a slightly-electro version, but more often they have opted to slow things down and try to slap on a bit more 'sinister'. What every track has in common is a total lack of humour.

Having said that, I found 'Muscle In Plastic', Slice Of Life' and a few others hilarious.
