This CD effectively captures the energy and excitement of North African music. The Rai sounds of Cheb Kader get the CD off to a cracking start and the tempo keeps mounting.
Ali Hasan Kuban's Habibi has a tremendous beat, and has everyone singing along with the simple chorus (which consists of the word Habibi).
As with these collections, there are a variety of styles, not all of which will appeal to everyone. However, it is a couple of years since we acquired this CD, and it is still in the top 10 of our CD collection. The best of the Rough Guide CDs and great fun.
