5.0 out of 5 stars "Slightly different, and worth it.", 4 Nov 2000
By A Customer
Not to mention this film being one of the best sequels made, it also has a great soundtrack, directly taking from the film. It is different from the first film, in the fact the music seems more electronic based. This time, John Carpenter had Alan Howarth help him with the music , and it worked well. The "Hallowen Theme" is different with the electronic sound, yet very well enetertaining. Varese Sarabande record company has the tendency of reminding us what film the soundtrack came from with the song titles. "Flats In the Parking Lot" makes you directly think of when Jill, the nurse saw all the flats on the cars in the clinic car lot in the film. "Laurie's Theme" is excellent, and is worth the price of the CD. The greatest thing on the soundtrack is "Mr. Sandman". It meant hope in the film, and even hope on the soundtrack, as we can relate it to our own lives. Well worth soundtrack!
