I first heard this record in 1988, but I was hooked immediately. This CD is IMHO still one of the best of the Pat Metheny Group, as it is very melodious, yet it's never boring. Even after years of listening to it, I discover new aspects everytime I listen to it. Real fans will already have this record in their collection, especially as such gems as "Last Train Home" and "Minuano (Six Eight)" are on this record. If you love melodious jazz and you haven't yet got this record, then go and buy it!

I really can't rate this stunning and lyrical masterpiece enough, beautifully crafted latin fusion compositions with thoughtful synth touches and complex percussion textures combined with Pat's stunning melodic bebop orientated lines make for a highly adventurous and profound outing (last train home especially!) PLEASE PLEASE BUY THIS MASTERPIECE!
