I've been looking for this soundtrack for many years and happened on it in the Amazon marketplace. I'm a fan of Horners early work which includes Star Trek Wrath of Khan, Willow and Aliens which all feature similar tones and, for me, are unmistakable as Horner.

I've been very pleased with the soundtrack and might go fetch the actual film to have on DVD. If you want music for working up the imagination whilst lying in the bath or reading some action thriller book then the Rocketeer is a good bet.

This is an excellent soundtrack.

First of all the quality of the recording itself is very impressive. There is no bad spots and you feel like you are in there with the orchestra.

As for the soundtrack itself it is superb. James Horner manages to get a soundtrack that fills you with excitement, a sense of adventure & yet have some decidedly tender moments. The first track is worth the price of the CD alone.

This is highly recommended
