Amazon.co.uk Review
Bill Hicks was crass, obstreperous and undeniably offensive. He was also one of the funniest comedians ever, in the malicious tradition of George Carlin and Lenny Bruce, hiding social commentary in the bluster of stand-up comedy.
Rant in E-Minor is probably the best introduction to his work, containing his opinions on such tame subjects as abortion, gays in the military and right-wing American pundit Rush Limbaugh. Agree with him or not--and you'd be hard put to find anyone who agrees with
everything Hicks had to say--it's devilishly clever stuff; even the dated material is still funny and fresh. Hicks was a twisted genius of the highest order, and he's sorely missed.
