I'm listening to it right now. Whilst musically not as good as the second album its still worth a look. Doctor Didg is perhaps more evident here and the fusion of music from Europe, Africa and Australia is more pronounced than "Spirit" I saw them in concert back in December 1995 and they blew my mind, although they played a set from the "spirit" album. If you have the second album, then this is a good accompanyment so is Dr Didg's album, but if you have none of their music then here is a good starting point. You will benefit from a decent sound system too.

Having recently seen Baka Beyond in concert I expected something more rhythmic than this. However it does grow on you.

Woosi, the first track, is good, dancy stuff, although it takes a while to really take off. The second track consists of little more than the sound of the Baka washing clothes and is somewhat odd. However track 5 is superb.

I found that the car hi fi did not do it justice. It requires a good system to hear it properly.
