As tourists in New Zealand trying to cover the whole country in a few weeks my wife and I needed a good map to navigate nationwide but also to find our way around the places of greatest interest. This map (bought from you 'on spec') proved to be more accurate and up-to-date than local maps which came with tourist information. For touring it was as good as anything we saw (and we looked at road maps while in NZ and were shocked at the generally poot standards.)

But this map proved particularly useful asthere were detail maps of the most popular tourist areas and because there were good street maps of the centres of the main cities.

It proved its worth on the first night we were in New Zealand. We needed to find the address of some friends in Auckland who had agreed to put us up. The maps we got from our car hire company did not extend to the locality where our friends lived. But the street map of Auckland in this Periplus map of New Zealand covered the area we needed and we found our friends easily.

No one map can meet all needs totally. But the combination of large scale and smale scale maps to meet different needs was excellent and we were never let down when consulting the Periplus Map. We recommend it highly.
