5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to follow, good value for money and very authentic, 14 Jun 2000
By A Customer
Having recently returned from holidays in the Greek Islands I was keen to try some real Greek recipes. I didn't know anything about this book but it was reasonably priced and seemed aimed at the right level, and I wasn't disappointed - very authentic recipes, all of them so far delicious, with some regional specialities included which are guaranteed to bring back holiday memories. Souvlaki, Moussaka, baklava, Tzatziki, stuffed aubergines..... brilliant stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, practical cookbook, 18 Feb 2005

(REAL NAME)
I bought this book while on holiday in Greece a few years ago, and since then I have used it a lot. It's very user-friendly, and the dishes turn out the way they are meant to - both visually and in terms of taste. And although I live in Portugal where shopping isn't as cosmopolitan as in some other countries, I've had no problem getting the ingredients.

One of the most frequently used cookbooks in our collection at home, and unconditionally recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book on greek cooking, 1 Feb 2005
This is a great book on greek cookery, it also has pictures of some of the dishes. The recipes are clear and easy to follow even for the novice in the kitchen.
I have just bought a second copy because my mother has nicked mine and she is from Crete.
