Of all the hummingbird books printed to date, this is the most comprehensive collection of photographs depicting the birds feeding on native flora. The irridescence and fine detail of the color photos are outstanding. The complimentary text is very well written for either scientific or avid readers.

In the beginning it was very difficult to get a copy. The first editions were sold out immediately.
Finally I could find one and it is awesome.
Amazing pictures. It includes the famous picture of Colourful Puffleg.
The only disadvantage is that you rarely see the birds as such, because they are taken with flash light.
Also I missed some information about where the picture was taken.
Nevertheless a must have for those interested in hummingbirds.
