Absolutely wonderful!, 17 Nov 1999

What a refreshing children's book this is. I bought it for my niece, but I had to read it first myself, as I'd heard so much about this Swedish myth. It is a pure joy to find a book as perfect for children as this one. It is almost as if the author, Astrid Lindgren, is a child herself. My niece loves it, and won't sleep until she's heard the book read to her again and again and again...
