This book is an autobiographical record of the work of the painter Paul Critchley. It covers his work over a period of eighteen years and follows the development of his irregular-shaped oil paintings from inception to 1996. The subject matter for his paintings is his immediate environment and, having lived in a number of European countries, portray a variety of surroundings; from the faded interiors of old northern European houses to the heat of Mediterranean urban landscapes.
The book contains 99 paintings reproduced in full colour and is written in English and Spanish.
