I have tried many different books and CDs to learn Spanish, and the USO series is pretty useless for anyone who doesn't already speak Spanish, as all the explanations are in Spanish, are quite short and have very few examples. Then there aren't enough exercises, and, unlike most other exercise books, you have to buy a separate book for the answers.
There is also a book in their series with a Computer-CD attached. I was so disappointed - all it is is pictures of the pages from the book that you fill in by typing rather than using a pen!
If you are learning from scratch as I did, or just want to review verbs, get yourself the Michel Thomas series of CDs - these are brilliant. Then get the Schaum series to review and reinforce what you have learned from Michel Thomas. School students will also find both invaluable (I loaned them out to a friend's son, and he was thrilled with his exam results!)
