They probably should have stopped at three, but what the hay! It was still a good film.

Rocky 4 is one of my favorite Rcky films, probably because it is a bit different than the others and here are the reasons.

1: It doesn't drag like rocky 1, 2 and five(But I suppose they had to for number 1 to introduce all the characters and such.)

2: It doesn't have the Rocky theme tune which, in a way, is good because it would loose it's feel and get boaring for a forth time.

3: It has some diecent music in it which is a change, and is a change which I like.

4: The fighting is much more realistic.

From the look of it, the film looks like a "God bless America", cheesy, "America will beat the tripe out of the Russians and be realised as the best country in the world" kinda movie, but it isn't. It is a good piece of work that portraise that everyone is equal and you can do enything if you put your mind to it.

I recomend this film to everybody that would like to see a film with feeling and satisfaction(and of course anyone who likes Rocky and boxing).

Lets just get this straight I am a huge Rocky fan and like many of my friends we all agree that, for pure entertainment, this is the number 1 rocky film hands down. Stallone is at his physical peak producing the most awesome training sequence comitted to film. Carl Weathers is at his wisetalking best before his untimely end at the hands of the Hulking newcomer (at the time), Dolph Lundgren. The soundtrack inspires and pumps up the viewer more than ever.
Sometimes we dont want to be "moved", "Stimulated", "surpirised" by a movie we just want to be entertained and to enjoy it.
If thats the case look no further than Rocky 4, millions already have.

This is by far the most "hyped" film of the 5 made (so far)
I would just like to tell any interested that this "version" on this Region One disc is the best version on offer , even better than the recent boxset with the DTS tracks on.
As this is the only version to have the full letterbox print in its orgional anamorphic 2:35:1 ratio.
All other versions are a compersit 16:9 standard picture cut down to match the rest.
And if you ever see the "trailer" look for the clip of diologe cut and not used in the finished film.
This also the shortest of the five films , running just under 90 minuets.
