Weld is pure rock 'n' roll, something that Neil Young is an expert in. This live video follows the same format as the CD, perhaps one of the best live performances you can get. In terms of the music Neil Young & Crazy Horse are extremely tight and powerful, it's hard not to watch this without having the volume cranked all the way up! However, the filming leaves alot to be desired, with cameras along way from the stage whilst seeming to be more interested in the 'grungers' and ex-hippies in the crowd. For music this is brilliant, in terms of a film, Year of the Horse is far, far superior.

This is my favourite Neil Young concert footage. Shot over the last three nights of their 91 "Smell The Horse" tour, it features Neil and the Horse in astonishing form as they blitzkeig thier way through many Ragged Glory tracks and produce the definitive versions of many old favourites from the Young canon that completely eclipse the versions on "Live Rust". If you like Neil in full-on, Crazy Horse, amps up to "11" mode this is a must-have.
There are too many crowd shots in the early numbers but it settles down to what in my view is one of the Top 5 concert films you can get.
