5.0 out of 5 stars the final reference on Red Army uniforms, 9 Mar 2003
This book is a godsend if your interested in uniforms of the Red Army. The title describes exactly what's in the book: colour photographs of Red Army uniforms worn by live models. In the forword, the author states, that this is a continuation of his earlier and smaller book on Red Army uniforms in WW II in the 'Europa Militaria' series.
I found the quality of the photographs in this book to be excellent, models are photographed against a neutral grey background and are well lit.
In this book you'll find everything: cold weather uniforms, scout camouflage uniforms (literaly every kind of camouflage uniform), tank crew dress, NKVD, Border Guards, infantry, mountain troops and suplements on field caps, field gear, etc.
Highly recommended.
