This book just encapulated me. I took out of the library and it haunted me that much that I had to buy it. I think the pictures are amazing and will definatley leave a lasting impression.

If it did not sound so tasteless (after all, this is a book about American death chambers!), one could say this is a very beautiful book - and this is due to the colours and technique employed by the photographer. Lucinda Devlin's photography is very well executed, she pays much attention to detail,
knows exactly how to capture the chilling, but sometimes rather grotesque look of the rooms and furniture in American prisons.
Be it the cheapness of the plastic chairs provided for the onlookers of the execution or the coldness of the final holding cells, this book will leave a lasting impression on you!
