I found the book very out of date, most of the places listed in Austria, London and Germany were closed or no longer gay! The legal info on most countries was out of date too. I am thoroughly disappointed and will not be recommending this book to any friends.

Spartacus returns with it's 31st immense edition. Bigger, bolder and more colourful than previous editions it should surely be a "must" for any gay guy serious about fun on his travels.

Sure, as soon as the book is published some of it's content is out of date, but as a general rule you'll find Spartacus right up to date with all the information you'll need to make your precious holiday time go with a bang! Invest in one edition and you'll find yourself coming back for more, as a gay-specific holiday guide Spartacus has no equal, anywhere.

In the words of Carly Simon "Nobody does it better"!

Spaticus is a great book that gives you a great insight into the gay scene of the world , it has been invaluable to my partner and myself since we first discoverd it back in 1993 when I was only 20 yrs old and had no idea on how to find the bars to goto or the cruising grounds ect. But with sparticus to help me I have travelled all over Europe Greece, USA and Austrailia we are still useing Sparticus, only last weekend we decide to go to the north of England and Sparticus was great,it helped us find accomadation a restaurant and all the pubs and clubs, So why did i only give sparticus a 4 Crown rateing because sparticus is always behind due to bars and clubs opening and closeing down ate the rate of nots some of the imformation is out dated but it stll gives you a good start and you'll discover more about a place when you find your feet its a shame Sparticus isn't on line and updated more regulary any way I'd give it the thums up. Stuart southampton

Restaurants, Bars, Clubs, Saunas, Shopping, Beaches etc, listed in simple alphabetically country listing with sections for each town & city. I take mine everywhere!

Perhaps the best annual gay guide. Some of the listings are out of date (esp. the American ones) but still an excellent source of where to go and what to do.
