As we leave the world of Athena coffee table books and throw away our Razzles, it is refreshing as an artist to be confronted by a piece of work that challenges not only the staid soft focus world of Erotic Art, but the grating world of shock tactics.

Roy Staurt continues the volumes with another book that addresses all worlds and uses devices that place his photography beyond interpretation. It would be too easy to label it as pornography and too polite Erotic. He continually creates a friction, through exploring an angle readers or researchers of Porn will rarely see. A rawness combined with an aesthetic original to the plastic USA films, which can only have come from Europe. French to the core.
