Product Description
Synopsis
Do you know what it took to recreate the sinking of the Titanic, what a jump cut is, or who the leading box office stars of the 1990's are? Learn the answers and more in this book dedicated to the celluloid history of the 1990s. With a total of 140 movies covering the years 1991 to 2000, the book covers a wide range of genres, budgets and cultures and reveals details from behind the scenes. The book features: four to ten pages for each film, including illustrations, cast/crew credits, and a summary of the film describing the genre, history, filming, facts, budget, and box office; a list of Academy and film festival awards; bloopers, trivia, memorable lines, and gossip; and actor, director, subject, and title indexes.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant anthology of the movie making of the last decade, 22 Jan 2002
By A Customer
This is a must for every movie-goer worldwide, a brilliant anthology of the movie making of the last decade. It includes short summary of the film, cast & crew credits, competent comments and a truly magnificient PHOTOGRAPHS (!!). But this is a colourful book not only in respect to it's visual qualities. It presents a variety of genres and film-making schools (with the likes of La Reine Margot, My Farewell Concubine, The Full Monty, Trainspotting, Kolya and Black Cat, White Cat any Hollywood sceptic won't be dissapointed). The selection of the movies 90 per cent corresponds my own taste (unfortunately, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Scent of a Woman, The Green Mile, Jude, The Game, Elizabeth are not included).
Great!!!
